Experience: Candidates should have 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures and algorithms
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
- The candidates should have 1 year of experience with software design and architecture and 3 years of experience with iOS development
- The candidates should have a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field and experience with programming in Objective-C, Swift, and C++
- The candidates should have experience shipping end-user features and owning the rollout and impact analysis and experience building AI-powered features
- The candidates should have knowledge of iOS UI frameworks, Model–View–Presenter (MVP) application design, and reactive touch-based UI and knowledge of iOS mobile application development
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to design and implement new user-facing features in Chrome for iOS, focusing on user experience and interaction
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with designers to create innovative user experiences, developing prototypes quickly to validate interactions and product designs
- The candidates should be able to optimize applications to maximize speed and scalability, while considering mobile network latency and bandwidth constraints
- The candidates should be able to add automated tests to validate features and assist manual testers in building comprehensive test plans
- The candidates should be able to work in the open-source Chromium repository and Google’s proprietary code base, contributing to both
