Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be skilled in handling repetitive tasks, including the ability to handle heavy loads of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform grading of agricultural products, hand harvest vegetables, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops and weed the fields
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops, examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market and sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties, maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings, ensure farm safety and follow bio-security procedures and load and unload vehicles using a forklift or dolly
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, as well as livestock and poultry
