Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, including handling heavy loads
- The candidates should demonstrate efficiency in performing repetitive tasks and be capable of handling weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers and monitor their effects
- The candidates should be able to apply hoeing techniques between rows to maintain crop health
- The candidates should be able to clean crops by removing debris and unwanted vegetation
- The candidates should be able to clear fields, pens, and work areas of brush and debris
- The candidates should be able to grade vegetables and fruits based on various criteria such as size, shape, color, and volume to optimize market value
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables with care to avoid damage
- The candidates should be able to handle animals safely and responsibly
- The candidates should be able to harvest seedlings at the appropriate stage of growth.
- The candidates should be able to level the earth to meet specific grade specifications for planting or construction
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizers according to recommended ratios
- The candidates should be able to monitor the health of animals and take appropriate actions if health issues arise
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops efficiently
- The candidates should be able to weed fields to prevent competition for nutrients and sunlight
- The candidates should be able to write daily progress reports detailing essential activities and observations
- The candidates should be able to maintain cleanliness in the work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers and pesticides to crops as needed.
- The candidates should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables according to quality standards
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce with care to avoid damage
- The candidates should be able to feed and care for animals, ensuring their well-being.
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment properly
- The candidates should be able to identify diseases and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry and take appropriate measures to address them
