Type of crops: Bell Peppers, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, Onions, Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Zucchinis, Potatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to grade vegetables and fruits into different grades, examine product quality, and ensure readiness for the market
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, irrigate, fertilize, spray, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to perform hand harvesting, weeding, and general farm duties
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings, and ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- The candidates should be able to load and unload vehicles using a forklift or dolly
