Work setting: Staff accommodation available and Rural area
Type of crops: Bell peppers, Cabbage, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, Sweet corn, and Zucchinis
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be comfortable sitting
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be capable of walking as part of their duties
- The candidates should be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should have experience in other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp conditions, outdoors, dusty environments, hot conditions, and cold/refrigerated environments
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility and organized
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, perform vegetable culling, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market
