Golby Family Farm based in Bloomsbury, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Vegetable picker. Golby Family Farm is a family-owned business that specializes in producing high-quality fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products for local and international markets. With years of experience in the industry, our farm is located in a prime location with ideal soil and climate conditions for growing a wide range of fruits. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $16.00 hourly for 24 to 44 hours per week

Shifts: Overtime
Transportation information: Public transportation is not available
Work setting: Staff accommodation provided and Rural area
Type of crops: Bell peppers, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Berries, Potatoes, and Vegetables
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of product: All terrain vehicles (ATV)
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor
Own tools/equipment: Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prepared for repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and physically demanding tasks, possessing manual dexterity
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary, able to manage a large workload, and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable and uphold strong values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops, grade crops, and hand harvest vegetables.
- The candidates should be able to hoe crops, pick stones and/or wood, and sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
