Salary: $15.00 hourly for 3 to 24 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Aloha Point of Sale (POS)
Credentials: ProServe program
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling, handle heavy loads, and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work under pressure, and capable of handling weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should be flexible, show initiative, and be organized
  • The candidates should be reliable, a team player, and maintain a positive attitude

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and describe and advise on wine selection
  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, present bills to customers, accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers’ cheques, or room billings, and balance cash and record sales
  • The candidates should be able to describe menu items, including daily specials, advise on menu selections, and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, load buspans and trays, and organize tasks to accomplish the work
  • The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
