Smitty’s Restaurant based in Lindsay, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Waiter/waitress – food and beverage services. Smitty’s Restaurant is one of Canada’s largest all-day family restaurant chains, operating from coast to coast. Our dining rooms are particularly popular among families with small children, seniors, and travelers. Almost all of our restaurants are fully licensed and a majority of them have separate lounges to accommodate teams, sports fans, and the happy hour crowd. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Food and Beverage Server Training, Smart Serve

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be dependable, organized, and reliable
- The candidates should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, traveler’s cheques or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections, balance cash, and record sales
- The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
