Aqua-Pacific Wire Mesh & Supply Ltd. based in Nanaimo, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Warehouse Associate. Aqua-Pacific Wire Mesh & Supply Ltd. is known for the manufacturing of various types of woven wire mesh. We are known for our processed products for sieving, filtering, screen printing and electro-magnetic radiation shielding applications, etc. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour (to be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: 2220B McCullough Road, Nanaimo, BC, V9S 4M8
Shifts: 08:00 to 16:30
Work Site Environment: At heights, Noisy
Work Setting: In shop, Manufacture, Retail business, Wholesale establishment/store
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s license
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Supervision: Truck drivers
Computer and Technology Knowledge: Inventory control software, MS Office, Internet
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, Pallet lifters
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity license check
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should have the ability to distinguish between colors and pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to work with hand-eye coordination and perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able work under pressure
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client and be someone who can be dependent on
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and have an excellent oral communication skills
- The candidate should be able to work in an organized way and be someone who can be relied on
- The candidate should be a team player and work with values and ethics
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages and also clean and maintain office, supply area or warehouse
- The candidate should be able to conduct sales calls and also perform general office duties
- The candidate should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns and also advise on use and appropriateness of goods or parts
- The candidate should be able to handle cash transactions and also identify, label and catalog items received
- The candidate should be able to issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use and also maintain records on inventory control system
- The candidate should be able to prepare and track work orders and also prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies
- The candidate should be able to process incoming requisitions and also receive, unpack and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials
- The candidate should be able to ship, deliver or pick up parts, products or equipment and also store items in warehouse, tool room or supply area
