Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma, watchmaking and jewellery making or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Area of work experience: Clock assembling, Cleaning, Repair, Watch assembling
Credentials: Jewellery Manufacture and Repair Trade Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean all parts using special cleaning and rinsing solutions and ultrasonic or mechanical cleaning machines
  • The candidates should be able to fabricate or fit parts to make watches and clocks
  • The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices
  • The candidates should be able to perform repairs and adjustments on watches and clocks
  • The candidates should be able to supervise other jewelers or watch repairers
  • The candidates should be able to test, adjust and regulate timepiece movements
