Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma, watchmaking and jewellery making or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Area of work experience: Clock assembling, Cleaning, Repair, Watch assembling
Credentials: Jewellery Manufacture and Repair Trade Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, client focus, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean all parts using special cleaning and rinsing solutions and ultrasonic or mechanical cleaning machines
- The candidates should be able to fabricate or fit parts to make watches and clocks
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices
- The candidates should be able to perform repairs and adjustments on watches and clocks
- The candidates should be able to supervise other jewelers or watch repairers
- The candidates should be able to test, adjust and regulate timepiece movements
