Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience in an industrial environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to meet physical demands, including walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- The candidates should have the ability to follow safety protocols
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong safety background
- The candidates should have flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- The candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations
- The candidates should be able to perform Spark Watch duties such as wetting work areas for hot work, assist tradespeople with hot work, and monitor temperatures and permits after hot work has been completed
- The candidates should be able to work as a member of the weekend clean-up team to clear dust and other debris from sawmill equipment
- The candidates should be able to work outside or in buildings without temperature control
