Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), and Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Structural construction, Ornamental work, and Fencing, balconies, stairs and railings
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety harness, Gloves, and Welding helmet

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and have experience working at heights
• The candidates should be adaptable to cold/refrigerated working conditions and accustomed to working in dusty environments
• The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions, thrive in a noisy work environment, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks as part of their job and handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be physically fit and able to meet the demands of the job, possess manual dexterity for various tasks, and have attention to detail in their work
• The candidates should demonstrate hand-eye coordination skills, be comfortable standing for extended periods, and be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) when required

• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should be effective team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
• The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
