Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of materials: Stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW), and ARC spot
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, and factory assembly
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, soldering machine, and spot welding machine
Security and safety: Basic security clearance and criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty environments, able to work in noisy conditions, and tolerant of odours that may be present in the workplace
- The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks efficiently, and be capable of performing repetitive tasks consistently and accurately
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks, possess manual dexterity for precise handling of objects, and exhibit attention to detail in their work
- The candidates should demonstrate good hand-eye coordination for effective task execution, be comfortable standing for extended periods, and be willing to work overtime as required by the job
- The candidates should also be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) safely and effectively
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing situations and requirements
- The candidates should maintain an organized approach to their work and responsibilities
- The candidates should be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidates should also be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment and previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
