Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need hold other trades certificates or diplomas, or possess equivalent experience
Experience:  Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Truck repair and Machinery or equipment repair
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Brazing machine and Soldering machine

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications accurately, apply them effectively in their work, and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment proficiently and safely
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes with precision, examine welds thoroughly to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements, and operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment proficiently while adhering to safety protocols
  • The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines accurately, fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components with precision and attention to detail, and determine the weldability of materials based on their properties and specifications
  • The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products efficiently, operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal effectively, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment as needed
  • The candidates should be able to prepare for, conduct, and interpret liquid penetrant inspections accurately and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines
