Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, and Public transportation is not available
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Area of specialization: Machinery or equipment repair, Structural construction
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, and Welding helmet
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty and noisy conditions, as well as in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and prepared for physically demanding work.
- The candidates should also have a strong attention to detail and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be excellent in oral communication, organized, and should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications accurately and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment proficiently
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes effectively, as well as examine welds to ensure they meet standards
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment with precision, fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment proficiently
