Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization:Â Auto repair
Equipment and machinery experience:Â Spot welding machine and Electrical wiring devices
Welding techniques: Resistance, spot or seam
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety harness, Gloves, Face shield, and Welding helmet
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle repetitive tasks and manage physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should stay organized and work as a team player
- The candidate should demonstrate punctuality and be hardworking
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
- The candidates should be able to determine weldability of materials, operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products and operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
- The candidates should be able to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
