Altex Industries Inc was established in 2001 to provide shell and tube heat exchanger sales and service to the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries in Western Canada. Work site environment: Candidates should work in noisy area

Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Type of materials: Stainless steel and Steel, iron and heavy metals
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, pay attention to detail and also manually dexter
- The candidate should be physically strong and also have hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in an organized way and also in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be a team player and also have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidate should have knowledge of welding techniques like Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW), Orbital, Brazing and soldering, ARC spot and also Boilers
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Arc welding machine and also Gas welding machine
- The candidate should have specialization on pressure vessels
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes and also examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidate should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines, operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), operate hoisting and lifting equipment, operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products and also operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
- The candidate should be able to fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, determine weldability of materials and also maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
