Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Experience and specialization:Aluminum alloys, Composite materials, Stainless steel, Steel, iron and heavy metals, Metal cutting, forming or bending dies
Welding techniques: TIG, MIG
Equipment and machinery experience: Gas welding machine, Polishing machines
Area of work experience: Welding, Metal cutting, Fabrication, Custom fabrication, Marine repair Shipbuilding and repair, Structural construction, Factory assembly, Ornamental work, Stainless steel welding, Construction
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty area
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines and with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, initiative, flexible, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), determine weldability of materials, operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, install door, window and other hardware, verify accuracy and completeness of data
- The candidates should be able to verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
