Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Type of materials: Aluminum alloys, Composite materials, Stainless steel, and Steel, iron and heavy metals
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Marine repair, Shipbuilding and repair, Structural construction, Factory assembly, Ornamental work, and Stainless steel welding
Equipment and machinery experience: Gas welding machine, Welding, and Polishing machinesÂ
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, handle physically demanding work, and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should have strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to sit and stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be efficient in interpersonal skills, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate good judgment
- The candidates should be flexible, organized, and a team player, and show initiative
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC)
- The candidates should be able to determine the weldability of materials, operate hoisting and lifting equipment, and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, install doors, windows, and other hardware, and verify accuracy and completeness of data
- The candidates should be able to verify machined parts and dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
