Salary: $17.23 hourly for 40 to 80 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Embro, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor, Vegetable Harvester and Planting Equipment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, meet tight deadlines, and perform physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate hand-eye coordination, distinguish between colours, and pay attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, perform bending, crouching, and kneeling, and demonstrate sound discrimination
- The candidates should be able to work overtime if required, manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and walk
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and team players
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply the technique of hoeing between the row, clear fields of wood and stones, and grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables, pack fruits and vegetables, and plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops and examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
