Job Description:

Salary: $25.00 to $28.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 1661 Golf Link Rd Midland, ON L4R 5J8
Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning
Transportation information: Own vehicle, Vehicle supplied by employer, and Valid driver’s license
Work setting: Landscape contractor, various locations, park and recreation sites, private residence, and commercial

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Equipment and machinery experience: Backhoe, Chain saw, Front end loader, Pick-up truck, Roto-tiller, Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, Sprayer or duster, Tractor mower, and Skid steer
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Ear plugs, Mask, Cellular phone, and Rain gear 
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity license check, Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and be able to work in wet or damp conditions, noisy environments, and dusty conditions
• The candidates should be tolerant of various odors and able to work in hot environments
• The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
• The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks efficiently, handle heavy loads as required by the job, and meet the physical demands of the role
• The candidates should possess manual dexterity for performing tasks, demonstrate attention to detail in their work, and possess good hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors as needed, be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and capable of walking for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to perform activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling

• The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on serving clients’ needs and exhibit dependability in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities

• The candidates should demonstrate maturity in handling professional situations and exhibit resourcefulness in finding solutions to challenges

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, and lay sod or seed
• The candidates should be able to rake and collect refuse, repair and maintain equipment, and perform tree removal
• The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports
