Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: North York, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home and private residence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smokers and have the ability to work independently
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and capable of meeting tight deadlines
• The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks and have attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and handle weight, up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and exhibit dependability
• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and be organized
• The candidates should be reliable and show patience
• The candidates should be honest

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, as well as dusting furniture
• The candidates should be able to vacuum various surfaces such as carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
• The candidates should be able to make beds, change sheets, and stock the linen closet with fresh linens
• The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, as well as disinfect operating rooms and other areas
• The candidates should be able to pick up debris, empty trash containers, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the facility
• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, as well as wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
