Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of College diploma
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction credit department

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate autonomy in carrying out tasks
  • The candidates should demonstrate good customer service skills in handling internal and external customer requests according to credit department standards
  • The candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a requirement to adapt to changing conditions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess equivalent experience GCC or CCP and knowledge of credit principles and practices to adopt
  • The candidates should be bilingual in French and English
  • The candidates should have mastery of the SAP system and the office suite, especially Excel and possess strong decision-making skills
  • The candidates should have the ability to negotiate and a sharp sense of analysis and uphold integrity and professionalism
  • The candidates should possess an excellent understanding of the management of accounts receivable in the construction industry, including denunciation, notice to the surety, and legal hypothec

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to adhere to Lafarge’s Health and Safety culture by adopting and supporting H and S policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to obtain information on various projects and bond vouchers and carry out title searches to execute contract terminations in accordance with the procedures established by the civil code
  • The candidates should be able to support the Credit Director in achieving the department’s objectives and provide support to collectors at the service center
  • The candidates should be able to verify the terms and conditions of purchase orders when contracts are awarded and ensure their compliance with internal policies
  • The candidates should be able to handle all other requests from the shared service center
  • The candidates should be able to manage a product line of 3 Cements, Aggregates and Concrete
  • The candidates should be able to manage a collection of approximately $35 million in accounts receivable per month
