Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (civil preferred) or Construction Management
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 10 years of progressive engineering and project management

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a technical diploma with extensive experience, which is an acceptable substitute to a bachelor’s degree
  • The candidates should have construction experience in the mining industry, preferably related to mine infrastructure and processing plants
  • The candidates should demonstrate leadership ability, a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills
  • The candidates should possess excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with site and corporate personnel
  • The candidates should have computer skills with proficiency in using integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, scheduling, and spreadsheet applications

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure that engineering work is completed and adequately reviewed by relevant stakeholders in line with the project budget and schedule
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that engineering design is safe and fit for purpose
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the development of comprehensive, clear, specific scopes of work and other relevant procurement documents
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the development of requests for proposals for equipment or materials and contractors, and assist with contractor selection
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with the Alamos construction team and contractors to ensure that requests for information (RFIs) are promptly addressed and closed
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with consultants and contractors to resolve and mitigate design and constructability issues
