Job Description:

Salary: $22.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

  • The candidates should have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate client focus, be organized, and exhibit reliability
  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, possess excellent oral communication skills, and demonstrate punctuality

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, and operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, keep a record of items received and delivered, and load and unload goods
  • The candidates should be able to sort packages for delivery, use maps and other trip planning aids, and record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
