Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Pitt Meadows, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Shift, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work outdoors, be comfortable working at heights, and be able to work in potentially dangerous and dusty conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be capable of working in physically demanding conditions, and have manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, exhibit flexibility, demonstrate reliability, and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist the medical examiner in charge
- The candidates should be able to pave and rake asphalt, clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
