Job Description:

Salary: $15.25 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Sainte-Béatrix, QC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning, 09:00 to 15:00
Transportation information: Own transportation, public transportation is not available
Work setting: Landscape maintenance, park and recreation sites, associations, and non-profit organizations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Rain gear
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, including in wet/damp conditions and hot environments
- The candidates should have experience in volunteer coordination
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks and possess manual dexterity
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills and show flexibility
- The candidates should be organized and demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, tie and secure plants, and coordinate workshops
- The candidates should be able to weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
