Salary: $19.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract (ending: 2027-09-30) Full time
Location: Toronto, ON
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, On Call, To be determined, Early Morning
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Relocation costs not covered by employer, and Employer’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking and able to bend, crouch, and kneel
• The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be physically demanding
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)

• The candidates should be punctual, dependable, and reliable
• The candidates should be client-focused, organized, and a team player
• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and good judgment
• The candidates should be flexible, patient, and honest

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking, and feed or assist in feeding
• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide personal care
• The candidates should be able to provide companionship and prepare and serve nutritious meals
