Salary: $15.50 hourly for 35 to 48 hours per week + 1% commission per sale Minimum wage is guaranteed
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Dartmouth, NS & Shearwater, NS
Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, To be determined
Work setting: Retail service establishment, door-to-door sales business, retail business, and on-site customer service
Supervision: 5-10 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Computer and technology knowledge: iOS and MS Outlook
Own tools/equipment: Computer, printer, internet access, and cellular phone

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should have strong attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate in their work, have a strong client focus, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrate flexibility in their role
  • The candidates should be organized, reliable, and a team player, exhibiting dependability

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff (apprentices, stage hands, design team, etc.) and assign sales workers to duties
  • The candidates should be able to hire and train or arrange for the training of staff, and teach interest or professional development courses
  • The candidates should be able to establish work schedules and sell merchandise
  • The candidates should be able to prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, and resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • The candidates should be able to organize and maintain inventory and supervise and coordinate activities of workers
  • The candidates should be able to conduct performance reviews, arrange sales demonstration appointments, complete sales transactions, and conduct sales calls
