Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, be physically capable of performing demanding tasks, and be capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be punctual, dependable, and possess excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, reliability, teamwork, and uphold strong values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs, bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
