Salary: $17.40 hourly for 30 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Cawston, BC & Keremeos, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Type of crops: Apples, asparagus, cherries, cucumbers, garlic, melons, onions, orchard fruit, strawberries, tomatoes, zucchinis, and vegetables

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment, manage physically demanding tasks, and handle a large workload
• The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and bend, crouch, and kneel
• The candidates should have strong hand-eye coordination, the ability to distinguish between colors, and handle weight efficiently
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be a team player and a quick learner

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to clean and cut agricultural crops, hand harvest vegetables, and weed
• The candidates should be able to grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume, and sort fruits and vegetables
• The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, pack fruits and vegetables, and harvest crops
