Salary: $17.44 hourly for 50 to 60 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Overtime
Transportation information: Own transportation
Type of crops: Bell peppers, Cucumbers, Greenhouse tomatoes, and Greenhouse vegetables

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Forklift
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle physically demanding work, and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
• The candidates should be attentive to detail and available for overtime as required
• The candidates should be able to handle weight, specifically up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be reliable and be team players

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to cut horticultural crops, plant bulbs and seeds, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
• The candidates should be able to perform greenhouse cleaning, clean the work area, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
• The candidates should be able to mix and prepare soils, pot and re-pot plants, and assist in grafting activities
