Salary: $20.00 to $29.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Burlington, ON
Shifts: Day, 07:00 to 15:30
Transportation information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, and Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Area of specialization:Â Custom fabrication, Structural construction, and Factory assembly
Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) and Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
Equipment and machinery experience:Â Arc welding machine and Gas welding machine
Own tools/equipment:Â Tools, Steel-Toed Safety Boots, Safety Glasses/Goggles, Gloves, Mask, Face Shield, and Welding Helmet
Credentials: Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check and Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be organized and a team player
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, be hardworking, and exhibit resourcefulness
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment, as well as brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- The candidates should be able to examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications and determine the weldability of materials
