Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience working in a production environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have demonstrate experience in customer service within a retail environment and sales experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform a variety of sales and customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction and operate a computer point-of-sale system to process transactions efficiently and maintain floor displays to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing workspace
  • The candidates should be able to conduct merchandising and inventory control to ensure product availability and maintain a high level of knowledge about postal products, services, and delivery options
  • The candidates should be able to process financial transactions, including cash, cheques, debit, and credit card payments and receive, sort, sequence, and batch mail items for proper distribution
  • The candidates should be able to operate mail processing equipment, including clearing jams and removing mail from sorting machines, where applicable and transport mail between floors or sections using rolling or motorized equipment, where applicable and operate a computer to key in data accurately
  • The candidates should be able to review mail items for address accuracy, proper postage, and other mailing requirements and stand in one place for up to 3.5 hours at a time
  • The candidates should be able to handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs) and carry mail items weighing up to 15.9 kilograms (35 lbs), as well as perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying
