Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead (bridge plates are approximately 50 lbs.)
  • The candidates should be able to sustain physical work on a daily basis and be available to work on weekends and holidays
  • The candidates should be able to work outside in all weather conditions (summer heat and winter cold) as this job is 100% outdoor work

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess GED equivalent and be bilingual

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure all work cards are accurately identified to the corresponding driver number
  • The candidates should be able to conduct visual inspections of assigned vehicles and verify they are properly stocked for the day’s work
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload railcars on designated tracks and within designated parking zones
  • The candidates should be able to pick up team members and assist in unloading railcars until all cars are empty
  • The candidates should be able to follow and maintain work instructions as directed by the Supervisor
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with team members to open railcar doors and install bridge-plates between railcars
  • The candidates should be able to unchain bi-level and tri-level railcars on the track safely and efficiently perform other related duties
