Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation available and Rural area
Type of crops: Blueberries
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work independently, perform repetitive tasks, and pay attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, and have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming
- The candidates should be able to work outdoors, in environments with odours and dust, and in all weather and dirty conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable
- The candidates should be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, fertilize and spray crops, and perform weeding
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, harvest crops, and cut agricultural crops
- The candidates should be able to tie and secure plants, train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
