Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a facility operations environment
Physical Requirements:
The candidate should have the ability to deal effectively with the public and work with minimal supervision
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be a proficient ice skater, possess exceptional customer service skills
- The candidate should demonstrate good leadership and interpersonal skills and knowledge of cleaning procedures
- The candidate should hold Emergency First Aid and CPR certification and knowledge of WHMIS
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with maintenance and cleaning of the community centre and/or arena, including swimming pool or arena, fitness areas (if applicable), meeting rooms/auditorium, lobby and washrooms, change rooms, viewing areas, and stairways
- The candidates should be able to move and secure hockey nets, prepare and clean the ice resurfacing machine
- The candidates should be able to perform pool vacuuming tasks and perform other duties
