Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience in construction or related industries

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be willing to work overtime and weekends, all safety protocols and properly use Holcim-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests
  • The candidate should be willing to travel frequently between job sites within the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • The candidate should be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and handling materials, work independently and as part of a team

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have experience driving a tack truck or similar equipment, possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • The candidate should have basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and the ability to perform minor truck repairs
  • The candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain a tack truck, ensuring it is in good working condition, transport asphalt and other materials to construction sites
  • The candidates should be able to assist with site preparation and clean-up, monitor and ensure the safe and accurate delivery of materials
  • The candidates should be able to conduct pre and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment, perform minor maintenance and repairs on the truck
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas, and promote a culture of safety by exhibiting these behaviors
