Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles), Use of force training, BST1 and BST2 course certificate, First Aid Certificate, Provincial/Territorial Security Officer Certificate, Security Guard License, Security Guard basic (pre-assignment ) training program certificate
Type of experience: Corporate building security, Mobile surveillance/stakeouts, Mystery shopping, Preparation of information (evidence) reports, Retail loss prevention
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be reliable
• The candidates should have excellent oral communication, and efficient interpersonal skills

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to produce reports
• The candidates should be able to check age identification of patrons
• The candidates should be able to enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities
• The candidates should be able to operate security control room equipment
• The candidates should be able to patrol assigned areas
• The candidates should be able to perform security checks of passengers and luggage
• The candidates should be able to prevent and detect shoplifting and theft in retail establishments
