Salary: $20.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an assetÂ
Credentials: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, vulnerable sector check

- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills and display flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
- The candidates should possess interpersonal awareness to understand others’ perspectives and exercise good judgment in decision-making

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, support early childhood educators in carrying out programs for children’s development, and assist in keeping records
- The candidates should have knowledge of licensing regulations, assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs, and discuss progress or problems with parents and staff members
- The candidates should attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, and plan and maintain environments that protect children’s health, security, and well-being
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
