Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have a secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially/territorially approved secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience providing clerical/administrative support services to management, such as but not limited to monitoring and managing their electronic inbox and managing their calendar
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain administrative systems and files
- The candidates should be capable of setting priorities
- The candidates should have the ability to control incoming/outgoing correspondence
- The candidates should have the ability to use software programs to produce documents
- The candidates should be proficient in effective oral communication
- The candidates should be skilled in effective written communication
- The candidates should be skilled in building effective interpersonal relationships
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability in their work and should exhibit good judgment in decision-making

Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in working in a health services environment
- The candidates should have experience working in a correctional environment (federal/provincial/regional treatment centre)
- The candidates should have experience working with Indigenous culture
- The candidates should have experience preparing meeting minutes, and/or correspondence and/or reports
- The candidates should have experience working with women offenders
- The candidates should have experience working in records management (such as but not limited to physical and/or electronic)
- The candidates should have experience working in finance and/or in support services related to procurement and acquisition card responsibilities
- The candidates should have experience providing clerical/administrative support services related to correctional programs and/or case management and/or security
- The candidates should have experience using a database and/or software applications for report creation such as but not limited to HRMS, RADAR, and OMS
- The candidates should have completed Women Centered Training (WCT)
- The candidates should possess knowledge of administrative and financial procedures
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to support health care activities, offender programming, records management, security intelligence, facilities maintenance, or attending to daily business functions for a wide variety of managers, assistant wardens, district directors, or wardens
- The candidates should be able to work in various work environments, including federal correctional institutions, community parole offices, regional headquarter facilities, and community correctional centres
