Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of industry-related experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Please refer to the Transport Canada site for more details
- The candidates should meet Air Canada’s medical standards in order to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and are expected to be free of any intoxicating substances
- The candidates should be available to work nights, evenings, days, including weekends and holidays
- The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and should be responsible for seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program, possess a Transport Canada AME-E license
- The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check
- The candidates should be able to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit and possess a restricted radio operator’s permit
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
- The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools
- The candidates should be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills while maintaining a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment
- The candidates should be able to work independently, utilizing resources via phone and computer. Being self-motivated
