Salary: $15.30 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Lorette, MB
Shifts: Day, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning, 08:30 to 17:00
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, note: this is NOT a condition of employment, rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Asset languages: Lingala, Swahili, and Luba-Lulua
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and scent-free
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be efficient in interpersonal skills, have excellent oral and written communication, and demonstrate flexibility
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability, be a team player, and demonstrate patience and honesty
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to change diapers and follow parents’ lead with toilet training
- The candidates should be able to sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, shop for food and household supplies, and wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children
