Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform short order cooking and food preparation, clean bar area and wash glassware, and serve food or snacks
- The candidates should be able to clean draft beer system, advise on wine selection, and provide recommendations on drink selections
- The candidates should be able to collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages, operate video lottery terminal, and record and balance beverage sales
- The candidates should be able to store beverage and food products, order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock, and address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages, and take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- The candidates should be able to understand and communicate benefits
