Salary: $48.78 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: 270 Toryork Drive, North York, ON, M9L 1Y1
Shifts: Day and Morning
Work setting: Construction, repair, renovation, commercial, industrial and residential
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence required
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat and gloves
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates need experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have accuracy
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units, lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing and also lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- The candidate should be able to construct and install prefabricated masonry units, work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages and also cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
