Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required for the job
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices and study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, or prepare specifications
- The candidates should be able to trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit, reinforce joints, and sand wooden surfaces
- The candidates should be able to apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, prepare and apply laminated plastics, and estimate costs and materials
- The candidates should be able to operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape, and form parts and components
- The candidates should be able to repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products
