Shifts: Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning 

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Food specialties: Desserts and pastries, Wedding and specialty cakes, and Cake decorating

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
  • The candidates should be able to requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, bake mixed dough and batters, and train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • The candidates should be able to prepare special orders, supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • The candidates should be able to draw up production schedules, ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, and schedule staff
  • The candidates should be able to inspect kitchen and food service areas, operate machinery, and organize and maintain inventory
  • The candidates should be able to oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
