Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to demonstrate reliability
• The candidates should be able to work effectively as a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• The candidates should be able to schedule and co-ordinate work on sites, maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
