Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 16 to 20 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part-time
Location: Chatham, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Supermarket/grocery store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Price scanner, Interac machine, Electronic cash register
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate cash register, scan items
- The candidates should be able to process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments
- The candidates should be able to tabulate total payment for goods or services required
- The candidates should be able to receive payment for goods or services
- The candidates should be able to greet customers, suggestive selling, provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean counter area, participate in promotional activities
- The candidates should be able to wrap or place merchandise in bags, weigh produce and bulk foods
