Salary: $15.75 to $17.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 32 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Westmount, QC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Urban area, and Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues, demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, and exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and tasks
  • The candidates should show initiative in taking proactive steps to address challenges and pursue opportunities, exercise sound judgment in decision-making processes, and be highly organized in managing tasks and schedules
  • The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling responsibilities and meeting deadlines consistently, be cooperative team players, collaborating effectively with others, and possess strong time management skills for efficient task completion
  • The candidates should demonstrate patience in dealing with clients and challenging situations, and uphold honesty and integrity in their actions and interactions

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize activities such as games and outings for children, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • The candidates should be able to prepare infants and children for rest periods, sterilize bottles, prepare formulas, and change diapers for infants, supervise and care for children, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and cook
